Brevard County Delinquent Property Tax List
Taxes are collected out of Titusville on the same statutory calendar as every other Florida county — delinquent April 1, certificates sold on or before June 1. We cover that cycle, and why this is a different lead from pre-foreclosure, here. What is not the same in every county is the property behind the delinquency, and how Brevard runs its sale.
Where to find Brevard County's delinquent property tax list
The official list is the newspaper ad the Tax Collector places once a week for three weeks in May, right before the certificate sale. The program is described on the Tax Collector's tax certificate information page, and the Clerk's tax deeds and auctions page covers the deed auctions.
The ad runs from the north end of the county to the south in parcel ID order.
Each Brevard row on Lispend has the parcel, property address, owner and owner's mailing address, plus the tax amount due and the date it was measured. It also shows whether the owner lives at the property, homestead exemption status and assessed market value, and skip tracing inside Lispend is bought separately as credits.
What the delinquent roll in Brevard County is made of
Brevard advertises every account still unpaid when April 30 closes, and once an account is published it can't be pulled from the ad.
The property behind it
The ad lists all real property with delinquent taxes, and the newspaper lists more items than will be sold. In the Census Bureau's 2024 American Community Survey, Brevard has 310,112 homes, 65.1% of them single-family detached and 7.4% mobile homes.
Concentrated around Palm Bay, Melbourne, Titusville, Cocoa.
How Brevard County runs its certificate sale
Taxes become delinquent April 1, when a 3% minimum mandatory charge is added to the gross amount. The Tax Collector holds the certificate sale on or before June 1 over the internet through LienHub, with bidding running down from a maximum of 18% simple interest. If nobody bids on a certificate, it is issued to the county at 18%, and county-held certificates can be bought through LienHub. Tax deeds are applied for on LienHub as well, and the Clerk runs the tax deed auctions online on RealForeclose.
What to do differently here
Get the ad in May while it runs. Check the amount due and the date it was measured on the Lispend row before you call anyone. Then look the parcel up on LienHub and RealForeclose.
