Privacy

What we collect, why, and your rights.

Last updated: 2026-05-25. A formal Termly-generated privacy policy is on the way. Until it ships, this page is the operative privacy statement between you and Lispend.

1. About the data on this site

Lispend publishes Florida court records (Lis Pendens filings and similar public distress records) for subscribers. These records contain names and property addresses that are already public under Florida public-records law — Lispend does not generate or invent them. If you believe a public record is incorrectly attributed to you, the correction process happens at the county clerk, not with us.

2. What we collect from you

  • Email address, when you sign up, join the Founder Lock waitlist, or contact us.
  • Account name, when you become a paying subscriber (used only on invoices).
  • Payment details are NEVER collected or stored by Lispend. Our payment processor (Polar.sh, with Stripe Connect Express as the underlying payout rail) handles card data end-to-end and shares only a customer ID and subscription state with us.
  • Usage logs (which CSVs you exported, how many rows, when) so we can enforce per-tier row caps and diagnose support issues.

3. Why we collect it

  • To deliver your CSV / dashboard access.
  • To bill you and process refunds (via the payment processor).
  • To send you operational emails — your CSV is ready, your county portal had an outage, your billing cycle is about to renew, etc.
  • To improve the product based on which features get used.

We do not sell your data to advertisers. We do not place cross-site tracking pixels on this site beyond essential analytics for understanding which pages users find useful.

4. Who we share it with

  • Polar.sh — our merchant of record for payments (with Stripe Connect Express as the underlying payout rail). They process cards under their own privacy policy.
  • Vercel — our hosting provider. Standard web-server logs may include your IP address briefly.
  • Neon — our database provider. Your email and account data live in encrypted Postgres.
  • A skiptrace vendor (Phase 2, June 2026) — when bundled skiptrace ships, we will send the owner-name and property-address fields of your CSV rows to a skiptrace vendor under contract. Your email and billing info are NOT shared.

5. Your rights

  • Request a copy of the data we hold about you by emailing info@lispend.com.
  • Request deletion of your account at any time. We will remove your account record within 30 days; billing history we are legally required to retain may persist on Polar.sh’s side per their policy.
  • Unsubscribe from operational emails at any time via the link in any email or by replying directly.

6. Retention

We keep your account data while you have an active subscription plus 90 days after cancellation, for support and reactivation purposes. After that we delete the account record. Billing history retention is governed by our payment processor.

7. Changes to this policy

When the formal Termly-generated privacy policy ships, this page will be replaced. We’ll email subscribers before that happens.
